Snow load tips for Northern Colorado

Here are some tips to help your trees deal with the snow load:

  • Use a broom to brush or knock the snow off branches. Do not push down on the branches and be careful not to damage the bark. Evergreens are your first priority.
  • If possible, shaking the tree is more effective than using a broom on smaller trees.
  • Having your trees properly maintained and inspected by an Arborist can help to reduce the damaging effects of heavy snow.
